Michelle is a native Washingtonian, where she was a 4-H dog club member throughout childhood, played high school volleyball and tennis, and was state champion power lifter her senior year. In early adulthood, she earned a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Business and Economics at Western Washington University while working in customer service. After college, Michelle became an ESL (English as a Second Language) instructor in Japan, where she lived and worked for nearly four years. While living abroad she completed a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Certification Course at the Interlingue School of Languages in Rome, Italy.

Upon returning home to the United States, Michelle continued as an ESL instructor for Berlitz and volunteered for PAWS (Progressive Animal Welfare Society).  Using her love of Excel spreadsheets, analytics and business concepts, Michelle eventually made her way into a career in Accounting. She worked as an accountant for over ten years, with her most recent position being a Cost Accountant with Nintendo of America.

In 2019, Michelle realized her passion for helping others and organizing spaces, and started her first business venture, Foster Organizing, LLC.  She is a member of the Washington State Chapter of NAPO (National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals) as well as The Institute for Challenging disorganization (ICD). She has earned specialist certificates in Residential Organizing, Life Transitions, Household Management and Workplace Productivity. Additionally, Michelle achieved the prestigious designation of Certified Professional Organizer® (CPO®) from the Board of Certification for Professional Organizers® (BCPO®). Michelle is also an active member of the Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce.

When she’s not helping clients make order out of chaos with their papers, belongings, homes and offices, Michelle enjoys travelling, arts and crafts, tennis, music with her friends and family. She currently lives in Enumclaw, WA with her two daughters and her husband, a local writer and Jiu Jitsu extraordinaire.
